Hi I’m Kristin and I’m so honored to serve as PA President for the second year. I have a son named Henry in 2nd grade and a daughter named Amelia in Kindergarten. This is our 3rd year at CCA and I can’t imagine being anywhere else! What I love most about our school is that Christ is at the center of everything we do. The teachers, staff and families work together to create a community where our kids can grow in both knowledge and their relationship with God. It is such a blessing to be a part of a school that feels like a family. I’m looking forward to an amazing year with all of you!

Hi, I'm LaNetra! My husband O'Neil and I are excited to be back for our second year at CCA. We're the proud parents of two girls; Ella, who is in 1st grade here at CCA, and Emery, who is in Pre-K 4. This year, I'm excited to serve as Fall Festival Chair and Treasury Admin. Our family has truly enjoyed our time at CCA. We love the Christian values woven into everything the school does and the caring community we've found here. We're looking forward to a wonderful year of serving our school family!

Currently, I am a caretaker for my mom, Darlene, and Kala’s mom. I have worked as an accountant primarily for the oil and gas industry for over 15 years. I have also been a teacher, coach, and an athletic trainer.

This year will be Kala’s fourth year at CCA and she will be in the 2nd grade. Kala is my only daughter and a gift from God later than I planned. We both love the teachers, staff, students, and parents at CCA. We are blessed and grateful to be a part of such a great family at CCA.

I look forward to working on PA board and with all the families here at CCA.

Room Parent Coordinator

I’m Kendyl Somer and I’m a mom to 4 children from Pre-K2 through 2nd grade who attend Cornerstone Christian Academy. Our family has been part of the Cornerstone community for several years and we’ve really enjoyed becoming part of the school and getting to know so many of the wonderful families and teachers. One of my favorite parts has been meeting new families and building relationships with the other parents. I really enjoy being involved and jumping in to help whenever I can. With four kids there’s never a dull moment and you’ll usually find me around school with a cup of coffee.

Middle & Upper School Coordinator

Hi friends! I’m Vonna Taylor, and this is our seventh year as part of the Cornerstone Christian Academy family. My husband, Nick, and I have two boys—Rivers, in seventh grade, and Rainn, in fifth grade.

I’ve been actively involved with the Parent Association for the past six years, serving in a variety of roles. I currently serve as the Head of the Middle & Upper School Committee, sit on the Board of Advisors and substitute teach. It is a blessing to serve alongside such an incredible community and support the mission of our school.

Our family is thankful for CCA and look forward to continuing to serve and seeing all that God has in store for the future!

Hi, my name is Katie Knapp, and I’m excited to be back as part of the Parents Association for the 2026–2027 school year!

I have two children at CCA: Brayden, who is in 3rd grade, and Bella, who is in 1st grade. This is our sixth year as part of the CCA family!

I serve as the Teacher Appreciation Coordinator and truly enjoy working alongside the rest of the Parents Association throughout the year. We have some wonderful events planned to celebrate and encourage our amazing teachers and staff, and I’m looking forward to a great year together!

My name is Amy Gresham. This year I'm excited to take over Chick Fil A duties for the PA. My son Colby and I have been at CCA going on 5 years now. Colby is entering the 5th grade this year. When I am not volunteering at school, I run my own Oil and Gas Company purchasing mineral interests and take care of my ranch located in Wharton. I am also on two committees at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It's great to be part of the CCA community.

CCA is an incredible school family to be part of. The administration loves each teacher and family well. The teachers recognize the needs of individual students and collaborate with parents to ensure the children's success. Being on the PA has allowed me to return the favor and love the families and staff with the assistance of a team of PA volunteers, supporting them when they have a new baby at home or the death of a loved one, and anything in between. COUGARS CARE, and we shine the light this year by showing up for staff and families that need us spiritually and practically.

Hi, my name is Emily Bridges. I grew up in Sugar Land and live in Greatwood. I have an almost 5 year old daughter named Mae who just started Kindergarten! This will be our 4th year at CCA. We loved the preschool program and are so excited for our elementary experience! I’m a part of the Teacher Appreciation Committee. I think teachers are absolute gifts from God and we should make them feel special as much as possible! Looking forward to a great year!!
